Stockton, CA artist Jodye Jo teams up with Jerry 3M to release their latest single, “KANGO” accompanied by a music video. The track starts off slow with a fun introduction of Jodye but leads into a funky beat that reminds me of J Dilla or People Under The Stairs where Jo starts his verse. The theme for me isn’t very front, I think this is more of a display of wordplay as Jodye Jo shows how good he really is to anyone doubting while keeping it fresh in a Kango. Production/mixing was left in the hands of Jerry 3M with ACID SOL handling the mastering; this beat is bumping with a very melodic sound that could put a homie to sleep! VHS BOYZ along with WAV3 handled the filming/editing with aggression as they really brought that jazzy, soft side of the 90s back making Jodye look like Jodeci. Awesome work that leaves me yearning for more!
