Civil Rights activist and Basketball legend Bill Russell has sadly passed away on July 31st, 2022 at age 88. 11 championships, 5 MVPs, a 12 time All Star and so many more accolades can be said about Bill Russell who’s career was bigger then just the court as he played during the Black Power movement in which he was am active member; Russell like Jackie Robinson endured a lot of racial remarks from both the team he played for to the normal joes that only saw Bill for his color rather than his character. Russell was the greatest in his era of the game where he helped craft the big man position with fellow legend Wilt Chamberlain while also having the highest amount of championships until Steve Kerr finds a way to get 3 more.
