South Africa artist Yung Beathoven teamed up hyperpunk artist 111nightshift to release “ADRENALINE” on July 7th, 2022. From Beathoven’s own words the song is about “the desire to be saved from a place of despair by a romantic partner.” Set to some upbeat drums, this tracks production is very fun with pop being blended with elements of punk and rock with a hint of vaperwave to really craft a good storytelling song that does something new in terms of genre mashing. I really dig this sound and look forward to more from Yung Beathoven who is rising slowly in the game; the sky’s the limit!
