London based artist Garrett Paknis released visuals for his single “PARIS” on December 20th, 2021. “PARIS” is a storytelling track focused on ones journey to discover their spiritually and sexuality identity, Garrett has seemingly blended house, electronic and dance music into one hypnotic sound. When speaking on the creation of “PARIS” he said “I wrote the lyrics in the Montmartre district in Paris, a few months after a breakup changed my life back in Berlin where I was living at the time. I was quite literally looking back, grateful for where I was, but reminiscing on the thought of “What if we could go back…?” This really brings forth a new flip on a forgotten sound, I think Paknis has a very amazing style in his arsenal with this release. “PARIS” was shot in the place it’s title takes inspiration from, I really liked the indie vibe along with the gray color palette where nothing stood out, some videos try to be bright or too dark but “PARIS” found the grey area and ran with it.
