The subject of this post will cause an reaction. Some of it good. Some of it bad. But the question is what are you really reacting for?
There has been some unfortunate happenings going on in the country, a lot of good and a lot of it bad. 2021 was supposed to be the start of something new. A fresh start after having such a shitty 2020. A recap of the previous year, the big thing was a new man made virus meant to strike fear and control the population. The last year of a certain President with a new regime set to take over the next year. We lost our jobs, lost our homes. Besides that, we lost so many people that their deaths still affect us. From “The Mamba” Kobe Bryant to the “Black Panther” Chadwick Boseman. “Mr Brodie Lee” Jon Huber to “King Geedorah” MF DOOM. Legends that were taken too soon. 2021 was supposed to wash away all the bad that we been through. Apparently, it looks like 2020 had an extension. And things haven’t changed.
Let’s start, we got a new president, apparently a vaccine and a third stimulus. Now let’s look at what hasn’t changed. Virus still here. People still refusing to go back to work. More deaths and racism & hate more rampant as ever. With the new president, the country still split in two. And latest happening, Asian Hate Crimes. Seriously, when will the people in this country fucking grow up. Hate to sound like an old timer, but damn this generation is a bunch of motherfucking snowflakes and people that want to cancel or change everything. Everyone crying because of this and that. I mean seriously, last year you tried to get rid of a pup that plays a cop on a fucking kids show. Are you kidding me? Now this year, idiots canceling a skunk that has been doing his thing for decades. The crap he does is nothing compared to the shit that gets featured today. You change the image of certain products that has been around for decades because it’s offensive. Only got one word for you and going to spell it out. S-A-W-F-T!
Now that I got that out of the way, let’s talk about the real serious shit. Recently there was a shooting in Atlanta but also hate against the Asian community. Now the reason why I bring this up is because I have ties to the community. I have friends, family and more importantly I’m a part of that community. I been fortunate enough to not have any against me but then again though I am only half and not distinguishable. Still doesn’t mean it’s right and unacceptable to target the community. When will this shit end? Haven’t we learned anything. I have never seen a country so divided but more importantly, why is race such an issue? This country was founded on immigrants or have you forgotten that?
I’ll leave you for the moment with that to think about. But seriously, you need to rethink the more important issues then just color.
