Italy based artist WIKW (andrea_wikw) his single “Runaway” on February 28th, 2020. WIKW (What I Know Well) brings a similar sound that I hear in Joji’s music, I really enjoy his vocals which mimic a sad-pop sound while also playing around with some sorta goth gospel in his voice. I think the beat is dope too, normally I speak on lyrics first but the beat is very powerful, like waves crashing into your chest, knocking you into the depths of perspectives in this moving track. The lyrics feel as if WIKW was tired of trying to hide his past, to keep it hidden but finally it became too much so he opens himself to the world, from his feelings to losing a romantic interest, this track has some great storytelling. Overall dope track, show my man some love.
