West Coast legend Snoop Dogg released a new single in celebration of the late Nipsey Hu$$le’s 35th birthday, “Nipsey Blue” on August 14th, 2020. The Marathon continues with a sample from the 1976 single “Misty Blue” by Dorothy Moore that helps lay down a smooth, soulful tone which “Tha Doggfather” raps about his late friend Nip. He plays snippets of time they spent together along with the pain he has knowing another young black leader he once spent time with was taken by violence. RIP to Nipsey, The Marathon continues.
