3 singles an a EP dropped that I care about on April 24th, 2020. Gonna post all four with my quick thoughts on them, you can easily listen to them by opening the Spotify on the segment they appear in.
TO FEEL ALIVE EP – Kali Uchis
The Colombian beauty Kali Uchis dropped a 4 track EP titled “TO FEEL ALIVE.” The cover seems inspired from “POWER” by Kanye West. The four tracks also mimic that Kanye feel, it seems Kali is blending her older work into a more alternative-R&B sound, it is really hard to explain it but I do enjoy each track, may do a mini review but this is worth a listen.
Righteous – Juice Wrld
The first postmortem single from the late Juice Wrld does no disappoint. Speaking on drugs, anxiety and his mental battles, Juice’s death was one that struck many with shock, till this day I am always torn since he was about to hit his prime, but sadly the brightest stars burn the fastest, I really enjoyed this single, just good vibes in memory of Juice.
THE SCOTTS – Travis Scott x Kid Cudi
Exclusive at first to Fortnite, Travis Scott teamed up with Kid Cudi to release another banger to hel battle boredom. “THE SCOTTS” lyrically doesn’t fucking matter, I really barely understand half of what is said but I don’t care, I enjoyed the hype, the beat, this is something that makes you feel good cuddie.
WHOLE WORLD – Earl Sweatshirt x Maxo
We end on a mellow note with “WHOLE WORLD” by Earl Sweatshirt featuring Maxo. This shit is purely the best lyrical song on this report ya’ll, Earl along with this Maxo brother hit that itch for dope bars on the spot. Must listen.
