Boston based rapper Leeway dropped a new song accompanied by a music video titled “”Cottonmouth” on October 16th, 2019. My man Leeway is originally from San Jose, CA and is a staple to our diverse music scene. The track starts with Leeway taped up in what looks like a car garage. Once removing the tape from his lips and spitting out some cotton balls he starts with a aggressive verse that flows over the sinister, fast paced trap beat produced by NINETY8 and engineered by Connor James. The rhymes he spits have the confidence of Captain America as they come off with passion as a grinding artist talks about himself and his goals while having the breath to drop some clever bars like “heard some of ya’ll sheep, box you up in a pen” to “I’m still lighting up trees like it was Christmas.” The visuals shot by Nate Ching are well executed and have a great amount of fun shots to keep you engaged by Leeway’s face-paced bars.
