Distance – Beast Coast (Music Video)

Brooklyn founded collective Beast Coast released visuals for their song “Distance.” Produced and starring Joey Bada$$, Issa Gold and Erick the Architect, the music video is mainly shot in black & white with parts that look like old colorized film in between, visually it is going towards a grimy 90’s aesthetic. Joey starts of the song, now this isn’t the most lyrically Joey we could get but the Beast Coast sound is a lot more loud and fun, more trap and 90’s blend, Joey does bring bars in his verse. Issa Gold also brings heat in the song, all three members talk in some way about their rise in the rap game. Erick the Architect concludes the song with some dope lines, nothing fancy but again this song is more a banger in my opinion. Overall it is a solid music video with a throwback feel, production is great and lyrically the track is solid but in my opinion the song shines as just a slapper, I haven’t heard the full “Escape From New York” album but I will be diving into that soon.
