Pullin – Fat Joe x Dre x Lil Wayne (Single)

“Pullin” is a breath of fresh air from Fat Joe and reestablishes Joe and Lil Wayne as lyrical beast. Produced by 808-Ray and Dre, this single sees these legends talk about their street origins and luxuries of success over a hard hitting beat. Fat Joe starts the song on a chorus that samples Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On”, after that we see Joe not pull any punches for his verse, making some dope bars that bring it back to his old school Terror Squad days, really solid verse from the veteran. I am not familiar with Dre but he has worked with Fat Joe in the past, as a rapper this guy put some solid bars out, I will defiantly be on the look for more music from him because his lyrics went off. Weezy on the other hand, man this was the best verse right here. I really feel Lil Wayne steals the song with his verse, a fun thing I figured out while listening to the song was the line “We are not the same, I am a Martian” may be a nod to The Game’s song “Martians Vs. Goblins” which Wayne is also featured on. The production is real buttery smooth, I feel this is a dope workout track cause I wanna fight to this sorta jam. Overall this is a dope single that makes me look forward to Joe’s new album “Family Ties” releasing in the later half of 2019.
